Laser Therapy

What is Laser therapy?

Laser is becoming increasingly common in treating various problems —- and for good reason. Laser is a safe and highly effective treatment method that offers a rapid, drug-free, non-invasive solution. It can enhance patient outcomes by accelerating tissue healing, reducing pain and decreasing edema or inflammation.

How does Laser work?

This type of therapy works when your body converts light energy into biochemical energy. It works the same way as when plants and trees absorb sunlight and convert it to useable energy for growth and healing. The laser probe is placed on the skin around the injured area so the light can enter the tissue below. The application of Laser therapy is completely pain free and in fact, many times there is a soothing, warm sensation at the treatment area. Treatments can last anywhere between 8-15 minutes depending on the area being treated.

Who can benefit?

Just about anyone can benefit from Laser treatments. As laser therapy involves light, even those with surgical or medical implants can experience laser therapy for pain and inflammation relief without fearing they’ll compromise their implants. It is effective in treating acute or chronic conditions, soft tissue injuries, muscle spasm to name a few.
